Match the complete memory configuration
Capacity and speed are only part of a server memory requirement. Module type, generation, rank, organization, voltage, platform support, current population, and the exact reference can affect the result.
Information needed for quotation
- Server, motherboard, and processor context
- Current installed memory and target total capacity
- Module type, capacity, speed, rank, and organization
- Exact manufacturer or OEM reference, quantity, and substitution rules
Population matters
Describe whether the request is an expansion, replacement, or complete build. A module that appears equivalent in isolation may not be appropriate for the intended population plan.
Technical parameters and selection boundaries
Published configurations differ by manufacturer and exact part number. These are selection dimensions, not one combined specification.
| Parameter | Documented example or choice | Verify for this request |
|---|---|---|
| Memory class | The reviewed FORESEE range is DDR5 RDIMM with an 80-bit width and ECC. | RDIMM class must match the CPU and motherboard; it is not a substitute for a UDIMM-only platform. |
| Capacity and organization | Catalog examples include 32 GB 1Rx4, 32 GB 2Rx8 and 64 GB 2Rx4. | Equal capacity does not mean equal rank or organization. Match the complete part code and supported population. |
| Transfer rate | 4800–5600 MT/s is listed for the inspected catalog variants. | The range does not promise 5600 MT/s in every system. Confirm platform, population, SPD and supported operating settings. |
| Electrical rails | VDD/VDDQ: 1.1 V, +66/−33 mV; VPP: 1.8 V, +108/−54 mV; VDD SPD: 1.8 V. | These are distinct rail specifications, not user-selectable interchangeable voltages. |
| Pin count | 288 pins for the three named examples. | Check notch, class, slot and mechanical clearance; pin count alone does not prove compatibility. |
| Thermal range | 0–85 °C; the flyer separately mentions an extended 95 °C condition. | Do not treat extended operation as the unconditional limit of every order. Confirm qualification and the platform thermal envelope. |
Standard configurations and project options
| Configuration area | Documented option | Project decision |
|---|---|---|
| Rank and organization selection | Choose the exact 1Rx4, 2Rx8 or 2Rx4 variant supported by the server. | Changing rank or density requires a platform check, not merely a price comparison. |
| Capacity and speed selection | Select capacity and the supported operating rate from a complete module specification. | Finished DIMMs are selected by part/revision; their density and rank are not field-customized. |
| Revision control | The retained flyer dates its version to 31 January 2024. | Request current MPN, datasheet and change history for the supplied lot. No current stock or continuity is implied. |
Representative models and configurations
Examples illustrate real product variation. A listed manufacturer or model is not a statement of our stock, authorization, or confirmed availability.

Applications and procurement context
- For a server memory upgrade or replacement, identify the server, processor, installed module labels and intended DIMM population before selecting capacity, rank and rate. The same capacity can have different x4/x8 organizations.
Compatibility, current supply, lead time, origin, and acceptance documents must be confirmed for the actual order.
